You are, of course, welcomed to write your own ceremony and vows. Although this can be a lovely way to personalize your ceremony, there are a few things to keep in mind. Vows may include personal references, but they should still sound timeless, never cute or silly. As you write your vows, imagine reading or hearing them twenty years from now. If they sound dated or at all embarrassing, keep working on them. Dont make vows too long and practice reading them aloud before your wedding day. Have a written copy of the vows with you for the ceremony, even if youve memorized them the words may escape you in all the excitement and always make sure the minister has a copy. If you decide to do this, we require that all of these materials be in our office at least (30) days prior to the date of your wedding to enable us time to send to Jamaica and to ensure that your resort has received them.
A
wedding from the heart is a ceremony that springs from your own deep
feelings and arouses such feelings in all those who witness it.
You can choose the ceremony that best matches your feelings. We have
three wedding ceremonies to choose from. There are also three vow renewal
ceremonies for married couples. A
SELECTION OF CEREMONIES We
have a lot of nice touches to our ceremonies. The ministers will
almost always use a great free-verse poem by Carl Sandburg that compares
your relationship to a flower. After the poem, you may exchange a flower
as a part of your vows (This is the Rose Ceremony). VOW RENEWALS FOR MARRIED COUPLES The
Resorts, of course, also perform the Renewal of Vows
ceremony. There are many reasons that couples, which have been married
for a while, decide to refresh their vows. A major anniversary, like
the 25th or 50th, or even your First,
can often encourage a couple to perform a recommitment to each other.
As Jamaica attracts bridal couples from all over the world, we are providing some additional choices of ceremonies to accommodate our many bridal couples. Please click on the following for additional choices! |
